The Legacy...
After the big bang and formation of the planets, a force collided with Earth. From the rubble and ashes appeared a few brave men who dared to venture into the realm of rock n roll. They called themselves Whistle Gear.
Through many years of evolution they now exist as the hottest band in northeast Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, and are close to reaching their ultimate goal of conquering the world!
But seriously folks, Whistle Gear was started in 1978 by Joe, Barney and Curly. Later that year, Charlie was invited to join.
Whistle Gear quickly established themselves as the hottest band in the area, known as "Marinette's House Band". After their single "I Think I Like You" became a local radio hit, Whistle Gear became a local legacy.
Through three decades there have been numerous break-ups and regroupings. In 2008 the band reformed again, with members Charlie Scoggins and Scott Kopish bringing their soundman Sean Heimbuch up as a featured singer, and adding the killer rhythm section of Darryl Heidtman on bass and pro Kenneth Smith on drums, to form the best Whistle Gear yet!
Just as they always have in the past, Whistle Gear still attributes it's success to masterfully performing a wide variety of music, from classic rock to pop and dance tunes. Along with a high energy show and fan interaction, seeing Whistle Gear is an incredibly entertaining experience!
Come join the crowd... YOU HAVE TO SEE IT TO BELIEVE IT!!
